The challenge

MiniMed didn't want another dinner with a stage and a logo on a screen. It wanted an evening where its customers would explore, connect and come away with the brand as part of the experience — not just the backdrop.

The brand had to live everywhere, not in one spot. The content needed to move across screens, interactive elements, lighting and the formal presentation, so guests met it throughout the night instead of only during the speeches.

The setting had to do several jobs. One space had to handle networking, a seated dinner and formal presentation content without feeling like three different events.

Two locations, one look. A branded activation at the convention center added a second customer-facing touchpoint that had to feel unmistakably part of the same program.

What we delivered

Venue strategy. We led MiniMed on a curated tour of distinctive Columbus venues, evaluated each on built-in engagement, dining format, accessibility and the chance to create something memorable — then secured a private buyout of an immersive venue built for exploration and digital storytelling.

Custom digital content and branding. MiniMed's logo, imagery, slideshows and video ran across the venue's exhibit screens and theater displays, alongside custom interactive content, dynamic digital art and tailored lighting looks — with live technical support adjusting content through the night.

Audiovisual and lighting production. Theater-screen presentation support, dynamic lighting and on-site AV and lighting operators for the formal program.

Culinary and bar. Passed hors d'oeuvres and an antipasto station on arrival, a plated dinner with dietary accommodations, a roaming dessert station and a hosted beer, wine and liquor bar.

Décor and floral. Upgraded furnishings and linens, floral centerpieces and votive accents for the dinner setting.

Guest journey and transportation. Four motorcoaches carried guests from the convention center to the venue and back, with registration staff on arrival so the evening started the moment guests stepped off the coach.

Convention-center activation. A branded arrival treatment — carpet runner, step-and-repeat and freestanding branded elements — that carried the evening's look into the convention center.

On-site management. One Meridian 360 team coordinating the venue, caterer, production, décor, transportation and staffing as a single program.

How we built it

We chose the venue for what it could do, not just what it held. Instead of decorating a blank room, we found a space where interaction and digital storytelling were built in — then wrote MiniMed's content into it.

We designed the guest journey end to end. Coach, arrival, registration, exploration, dinner, presentation and the ride back were planned as one continuous experience, so the brand showed up at every step rather than at a single photo moment.

We kept both locations on one look. The convention-center activation used the same visual identity as the evening, so the two touchpoints read as one program rather than two separate efforts.

The result

Two hundred MiniMed guests, a private immersive venue and a brand that lived on every screen, in the lighting and through the presentation — from the convention-center floor to the coach, through dinner and back again.

A customer event built to be explored, not just attended — designed, produced and delivered by one Columbus partner.
